The Towers

Fifty stories above the city, this glass-walled duplex needed warmth, depth, and gravity.

Working closely with the architect and interior design team, we specified 18-inch-wide African Sapele planks in extended lengths. Each board was hand-selected for color and grain, then laid in long runs that draw the eye toward the skyline.

Against glass, steel, and cast concrete, the richly figured wood grounds the space. Precision was essential: clean scribes around curved columns, exact reveals at the floating staircase, and flush transitions across both levels create one continuous plane.

A custom, softly reflective finish brings out the wood's depth while capturing the city’s evening light without mirroring it.
