Our Story
For over a century, I.J. Peiser’s Sons has laid the floors of New York’s most distinguished interiors. Founded in the early 1900s and carried forward through five generations of one family, the firm is defined by a tradition of precision, material integrity, and practiced expertise. Boards are hand-selected. Patterns such as herringbone, chevron, and parquet de Versailles are set with careful regard for scale, proportion, and the architecture they serve. Work in private residences and landmark institutions, commissioned by generations of New Yorkers, reflects a reputation built quietly, project by project. The patterns Peiser is known for, herringbone, chevron, basket weave, parquet de Versailles, are among the most demanding in the craft. Every piece is milled to spec and set by hand, the geometry composed as much as it is installed.
